Sunshine Coast: A 24-year-old international student drowned on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
A Keralite student who was on an outing with his friends died after being hit by a waterfall. Police said AB went missing after climbing down the rope to the waterfall.
24-year-old Ebin Philip died while on holiday at Gardener Falls in the town of Melanie. Queensland Police said there was no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident. Police said the SES received a report of a missing person in Gardener Falls at around 3.30pm on Monday 28 November. Police said that the dead body was found only after the arrival of the police dive squad.
Ebin was about to go back to India after completing his studies. Ebin was doing a Diploma in Hospitality in Brisbane. Ebin was also the international student representative of the Sunshine Coast Kerala Association.
The Malayalee community of Sunshine Coast has stated that the process of bringing the his body to India will start soon. The deceased Ebin Philip was a native of Muvatupuzha in Kerala State in India.
