Dublin: Full time working non European parents in Ireland are struggling with their work and daily life. If both mother and father are working in a family, they have to choose opposite shifts or need to do less hours per week ( very hard to meet life expenses if one of them in the family is working part time) . Sometimes, need to hire child minders with huge amount of money. The life will not be enjoyable and will be tired after everything. Many heath care workers are struggling a lot especially when someone is sick in the family and no one is there for help. In most families, it is really hard to find quality time within them. Currently in Ireland, non European workers can bring their parents in short term visa for 3 months and they need to leave the state after this 3 month of period. If the immigration authority can extend this visa permission from 3 months to 6 months, that would be a great help for many people who are currently struggling to live here in Ireland.
Parents will be great support for the families with newborns and small kids. Extension of visiting visa permission will definitely a great relief for many people in Ireland. While their parents are here, working father and mother will get a happily life with their children.
Work and life balance can be achieved if our mother/ father is here for at least 6 months, especially when we work hard ( long 12 hours shifts).we really need our parents in situations such as difficult child delivery or minding the children with disabilities.
Also, And this will be beneficial to the business market, and holiday lengths as well, because it will reduces the travel to home country, and spending here.. Like shopping, local amenities, and hotels accommodation, foods. So at least 3000 euros come to market from every family. Visiting visa permission is already 6 months for UK. Please make it happen in Ireland as well so everyone will be get advantages of this.
