The company has recently introduced a 'WhatsApp Communities' feature that can send notifications to up to 5,000 people simultaneously. Currently, this feature has started rolling out to Indian users and some other countries too. Don't worry if you don't get it, it's coming to some countries. There is no option but to wait please. Users must update to the latest version to get the feature.
'WhatsApp Communities'
After updating WhatsApp, open the Communities option in the green bar at the top of WhatsApp. In this you can tap on Start Your Community and enter the community name, note and image. Then, admins can select WhatsApp groups and form communities of the same nature. By clicking on the speaker icon that appears in green when you reopen the community, you can send a message to all the groups added to the community together.
But soon after the launch of the new feature, users compared the new community feature to groups and raised questions about its necessity. WhatsApp then shared a video on Twitter to convince users of the difference between communities and groups. Users must update to the latest version to get this feature.
