Kyiv: President Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to Kherson was exciting. Kherson is the biggest victory of the Ukrainian army in the Russian occupation that has been going on for almost 9 months.
Zelensky celebrated the victory by greeting people and taking photos with soldiers. He said this is the beginning of the end. In the past, the President had visited the battle fronts and inspired the soldiers.
As Ukrainian forces encircled Kherson, Russian-appointed local administrators evacuated more than 70,000 people and left the city. Ukrainian troops removed Russian flags and monuments from the city.
Russian officials declined to comment on Zelensky's visit, claiming that Herzen is part of the Russian Federation.
