New Delhi: Air India launches non-stop flights from India to 6 destinations in the US and Europe. The expansion comes as the airline continues to make progress in augmenting its fleet with newly leased aircraft and returning existing aircraft to active service.
Air India strengthened and expanded its global connections with the launch of new flights connecting Mumbai to New York, Paris and Frankfurt and the resumption of non-stop flights connecting Delhi to Copenhagen, Milan and Vienna. The expansion comes as the airline continues to make progress in growing its fleet with newly leased aircraft and returning existing aircraft to active service.
The new Mumbai-New York service will operate daily at John F Kennedy International Airport with a B777-200LR aircraft, starting on February 14, 2023. This will be Air India's existing daily service from Delhi to John F Kennedy International Airport in the New York area. There will also be four weekly flights to Newark Liberty Airport.
Air India's India-US trips operate as 47 non-stop flights per week. To Europe, Air India will have four weekly Delhi-Milan routes from February 1, 2023 and three weekly flights to Delhi-Vienna and Delhi-Copenhagen from February 18 and March 1, 2023 respectively.

From Mumbai, three new flights to Paris and four to Frankfurt are planned for weekly service. All these routes will be operated by Air India's B787-8 Dreamliner aircraft with 18 business class and 238 economy class seats. However, the schedule is yet to be decided. With the resumption of these flights, Air India will operate 79 non-stop weekly flights to seven cities in Europe - 48 to the United Kingdom and 31 to continental Europe, the statement said.
"A key component of our five-year transformation plan is to strengthen India's global network and connect India's major cities with more destinations. These new non-stop flights are to New York, Milan, Vienna and Copenhagen. Paris and Frankfurt are another step on that journey that will accelerate as our flights expand. We look forward to welcoming guests and sharing Air India's warm Indian hospitality with them," said Campbell Wilson, CEO and MD, Air India.
Bookings are now open for new flights except Paris and Frankfurt. Paris and Frankfurt schedules and booking openings will be announced separately.
