USA: Instant messaging app WhatsApp introduces voice status updates. The new feature was introduced in the Android operating system on an experimental basis. A new feature is the ability to share voice notes as status updates. The service of the new feature can be availed by entering the Text Stars section.
The feature gives the user more control over voice recording. The feature has also provided facilities to delete the recording before making it a voice note status. The new feature allows voice notes with a maximum duration of 30 seconds to be made into status. WhatsApp needs to be updated to listen to voice notes shared as status.
The new feature is introduced to protect privacy. Just like pictures and videos, voice notes set as status will also disappear after 24 hours. User will also get the option to delete the voice note after sharing. It is reported that more users will be able to avail the service in the coming weeks.
