Liffey Valley: €20m state-of-the-art BusConnects Plaza opens at Liffey Valley Shopping Centre.

Six bus routes will terminate at a new hub outside Liffey Valley, a new bus plaza facility was unveiled by the National Transport Authority today 20-02-2023 at the Liffey Valley Shopping Center as part of the Bus Connects program which is expanding the city.
The new plaza is located 100 feet from the front entrance of the Liffey Valley Shopping Centre. The new hub connects south and west Dublin, north Kildare and the city centre. A 75% increase in new plaza buses is expected, with six bus routes terminating at the new hub. "G-Spine" route G2, orbital routes S4 and W2, radials 80 and local routes L51 and 53 are taken on buses terminating at Liffey Valley Plaza.
The new bus plaza is located in the refurbished yellow car park area in the Liffey Valley and has a fully accessible set down area with six bus bays. There are now more disabled spaces, parent and child spaces, new electric vehicle charging points, street furniture, passenger waiting areas, real-time data on car parking space availability and real-time travel alerts.
Bus services to and from Bus Plaza started on Sunday, February 19. Minister of State Jack Chambers TD has welcomed the opening of a new "state-of-the-art" plaza at the shopping centre.
He said: “I am delighted to unveil this state-of-the-art bus plaza facility in the Liffey Valley, a landmark project of the NTA's BusConnects programme. The plaza will increase bus traffic between west Dublin and Kildare and into the city center with a 75% increase in buses per hour.
