Ireland woke up on the morning of Saturday July 14th to the shocking news of the entire Cork community, With the murder of Ms. Deepa Dinamani (38). An Indian national who came here for livelihood had to face a tragic death at the hands of her husband.
The body of Deepa Dinamani (38), a Malayali chartered accountant who was killed in Cork, Ireland, will be brought home. The body will be brought to the home in Hosur, Karnataka on Friday, August 11. On that day, from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm at his house at NBR Homes, Asalantham Road, Chinnakolu, the cremation will be held for public viewing.

Deepa Dinamani was found murdered inside her rented house on Friday, July 14 at around 10 pm. The rented house was in Cardinal Court, which is only five kilometers away from Cork City, Ireland. Deepa’s husband Regin Rajan (41), a native of Thrissur, who was arrested by the Togar Garda (Police) following the incident, is now in judicial custody. Ridge will appear before Cork District Court again on August 28.
Deepa's brother had come to Ireland to receive Deepa's five-year-old child. The Indian community in Ireland has joined hands to support the family of the late Mrs. Deepa in repatriating her son and the deceased. The action committee of various Indian organizations in Ireland took the initiative to bring Deepa’s body home. 25,000 Euros were raised under the leadership of the Action Committee. It will be used for repatriation of the dead body and funeral ceremonies. The remaining amount will be transferred to the dependents.
Hailing from Thrissur, Deepa’s father Dinamani and mother Sarojini currently live in Hosur, Karnataka. They used to live in Ernakulam and Thrissur districts in Kerala and later moved to Bengaluru and Hosur in Karnataka due to Deepa’s work. Deepa’s brother Ullas Dinamani had arrived in Ireland to receive Deepa’s five-year-old son Rainash. Since Deepa was killed and her husband was arrested in a murder case, the social welfare team took care of their only son.
