Delhi: On July 14, M Mar, a huge rocket, was lifted into orbit, circled the Earth five times and expanded its orbital path, headed for the Moon, and reached the lunar orbit on August 5, bringing the lunar orbit down.
India's Chandrayaan 3 is on its way to touch the unexplored South Pole of the Moon, which scientists believe holds the secrets of the universe. At a distance of 25 km, Chandrayaan 2, which was left as a teardrop, rendezvoused and communicated with the orbiter.
Welcome Buddy is the message sent by Chandrayaan to Orbiter Vikram Lander. Chandrayaan 3's lander is gearing up for a soft landing on the lunar surface, raising the hopes of 140 crore people.
The country is hoping that Chandrayaan will be the third to indelibly write India's name at the top of the world.
