Storm Antoni will hit Ireland from tonight: Met Éireann; Weather warnings on place

Storm Antoni will hit Ireland from tonight. First named storm of the season ahead, Met Éireann has issued three separate weather warnings, two status yellow rain warnings and one status yellow wind warning, which will be in place until tomorrow afternoon.

A rain warning has been issued for the province of Connaught (Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo.) and counties Clare and Tipperary. It will come into effect from 8.00 pm tonight and will remain in place till 8.00 am tomorrow.
A second rain warning will come into effect for the province of Leinster and the two counties of Monaghan and Cavan at 6.00pm today. It will be in place till 8.00 am tomorrow. The National Weather Service has issued a Storm Anthony wind warning for Kerry, Cork, Waterford and Wexford from 4.00am to 12.00pm tomorrow.

The UK met office has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for Northern Ireland from midnight to midday tomorrow. It said in a tweet that a storm would bring unseasonably strong winds and heavy rain to the UK tomorrow. 

Heavy rain is expected everywhere, leading to localized flooding, poor visibility and difficult travel conditions. Met Éireann said that very strong north to northwest winds will bring gusts of up to 110 km per hour and could lead to falling branches, damage to temporary structures and difficult travelling conditions. Passengers beware.
