Excise Minister should resign, investigation should be handed over to central agency: V.Muralidharan

Union Minister V. Muraleedharan said that the bar owner's revelation that he had to pay a bribe to change the liquor policy was shocking. An investigation should be conducted into what is said in the voice message.   It is understood from the voice of the bar owner that crores have been collected. It should be clear where this money went. The Union Minister demanded the resignation of Excise Minister MB Rajesh.

Muralidharan said that policy decisions will not be made without the knowledge of the Chief Minister. Pinarayi Vijayan should clarify if he asked for bribe from the bar owners. If the bribe has been taken, the Chief Minister knows about it.   The investigation should be handed over to the central agency to reveal the truth.

Muralidharan said that no agency under the Kerala government would conduct an impartial investigation. CPM has joined the party of KM Mani who was accused of bar bribery. In a statement, the Union Minister said that the second bar bribery allegation shows that UDF and LDF are the same in the corruption.
