Bangalore: FIR registered against Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
The case is based on the complaint of embezzlement of money through electoral bonds. A case has also been registered against BJP national president JP Nadda.
The action was taken on a complaint filed by an organization called Janadhikar Sangharsa Parishad. The action is on the instructions of the Special Court in Bengaluru for People's Representatives.
The complaint was filed by lawyer Adarsh Iyer. The complaint was that he had bought electoral bonds worth 1000 crores from corporate institutions by threatening to conduct an ID raid. A complaint has also been filed against Karnataka BJP leaders Naleen Kumar Kattil and BY Vijayendra.
