Kashmir: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah expressed his disagreement with the execution of Afzal Guru, who was guilty of the 2001 Parliament attack.

Omar Abdullah said that the action did not do any good and the Jammu and Kashmir government would not have allowed it if it had the power. In response to news agency ANI. NC Vice President Omar Abdullah made controversial remarks. He said that the Jammu and Kashmir government had no role in the hanging of Afzal Guru and clarified that it could not achieve any goal.

After Afzal Guru's brother Ajaz Ahmed Guru announced that he would contest the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, the leader of the Congress ally responded with a controversial remark. 

The Congress party, which is contesting the elections in Jammu and Kashmir in alliance with the National Conference, has not responded to the remark. But the BJP came to the scene by strongly reacting against this.
