Payment dates for eligible recipients will vary. Social Welfare Ireland has confirmed that people will receive their money earlier due to the bank holiday.
The Department of Social Protection released a statement updating the payment timeline for the October bonus. They said: “Monday 28 October is a bank holiday and as a result any social welfare payments due in your account on Monday 28 October will now be paid on Friday 25 October instead. Other payments will be made as normal on Tuesday 29 October.

People receiving long-term social welfare weekly payments will be paid twice a week. This will be in addition to the Christmas bonus.
