New Delhi: India is about to ask Canada to hand over Khalistan terrorist Arsh Dalla.
India's position is that Arsh Dalla, who was arrested in Canada, should be extradited as he is a criminal who has drowned without facing legal action in India.
Arsh Dalla was arrested by the Canadian police after finding that he was involved in the shooting that took place on October 27 and 28 in Milton Town, Ontario. An Ontario court was then listed to hear the case against Dalla. It is in this situation that India is again demanding the release of Dalla.
Dalla is a person declared as a terrorist by India in 2023. Listed as a felon in India, Dalla was living a comfortable life with his wife in Canada. Dalla was also active in Khalistan terror activities.
India had approached him in July 2023 requesting his extradition, but the request was rejected, the Ministry of External Affairs said. Now India is going to request Dalla again in a situation where Canada has arrested him.
Arsh Dalla alias Arsh Singh Gill was Nijjar's right-hand man who was the leader of the Khalistan Tiger Force. It is reported that after Nijjar was killed, Dalla became the successor.
