Pakistani security forces successfully neutralized 17 terrorists in a series of operations targeting militant strongholds in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The operations, conducted on Friday, were part of an intensified campaign against insurgent activity in the region.
According to military sources, the first operation took place in the Bakka Khel area of Bannu district, where helicopter gunships targeted hideouts linked to the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group, resulting in the elimination of 12 militants. The second operation was conducted in the Haso Khel area of Mir Ali, North Waziristan, where five additional terrorists were killed.
Security forces seized a significant cache of arms and ammunition from the militants and released images of the deceased insurgents. Reinforcements have been deployed to the areas as operations continue to root out remaining threats.
This offensive comes in response to recent attacks on security personnel in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The military has reiterated its commitment to eradicating terrorism in the region, emphasizing the importance of such operations in ensuring national security.
