Tamil Nadu government has introduced a prize scheme to attract passengers

Chennai: Tamil Nadu government has introduced a prize scheme to attract passengers in buses. Two-wheeler, TV etc. will be given as prizes by drawing lots. The prize is for those who book tickets online for state transport corporation buses including MTC operating in Chennai city and SETC operating inter-state services.

Three winners will be selected from those who book tickets for travel between November 21 and January 20. The first prize will be a two-wheeler. Smart TV is the second prize. The third prize is a refrigerator. Apart from this, monthly cash prize will also be given.

The monthly prize scheme has been running since last June. New gifts have been announced on the occasion of Pongal. Cash prize is given to 13 people per month. Three will be given Rs 10,000 each and the rest Rs 2,000 each.

Many people are not ready to travel in government buses even though the fares are lower than private buses. This is due to a misunderstanding about the quality of government bus services. For this to change, people should travel by government bus at least once. SETC informs that the prize scheme is being conducted for this purpose.
