New Delhi: The Budget Session of Parliament commenced with Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju outlining the key agenda, emphasizing the significance of the session as the first of the year. Addressing the media, Rijiju stated that the government has urged all political parties to cooperate, given the importance of the session, which includes the President’s address, the Economic Survey, and the Union Budget presentation.
The President’s address will mark the formal beginning of the session, followed by the presentation of the Economic Survey on January 31. The Union Budget 2025-26 will be tabled on February 1, after which detailed discussions will be held on both the President’s address and the Budget.

The Budget Session will be held in two phases, with the first concluding on February 13 and the second starting on March 10 after the recess.
