Kerala – J. Nandakumar, National Convenor of Prajna Pravah, emphasized the need to uphold the profound messages that India has gifted to the world while countering the perilous transformations inspired by Western ideologies. Speaking at the inauguration of the 42nd State Conference of the Bharatiya Vichara Kendra in Tirur, Malappuram, he presented a discourse on the theme, "Cultural Marxism: The Ideology of Anarchy."
Nandakumar highlighted the emerging attempts by modern Marxist leaders to align figures like Swami Vivekananda, Sree Narayana Guru, and Mannathu Padmanabhan with their political ideologies. He called out such claims as baseless propaganda that often misleads society into accepting false narratives. "It is imperative to understand these distortions and rectify them effectively," he said, adding that several dangerous transformations, including Cultural Marxism and the suppression of authentic cultural values, have pervaded society under the guise of modernity.
He specifically pointed to the proliferation of ideologies like Occultism, spreading from Western nations into Kerala's academic institutions, as an alarming trend. "We must recognize, resist, and simultaneously project the essence of Bharat’s timeless culture," he asserted.
Referring to India's historical role, Nandakumar reminded the audience of the universal messages of vigilance and awakening, such as 'Tasmāt Jāgrata' and 'Uttishthata Jāgrata,' which continue to resonate globally. He stressed the importance of analyzing and presenting the detrimental effects of false ideological influences to the public.
"Our responsibility lies in preserving the eternal values of Sanatana Dharma, which remain alive through us," he added.
Nandakumar paid homage to the founder of Bharatiya Vichara Kendra, Parameswarji, who envisioned the center as a successor to the intellectual traditions of Maharshi Aurobindo and Swami Vivekananda. He praised Parameswarji's efforts in steering the intellectual framework of Kerala and India toward a constructive and enlightened direction.
"Constitutional Reforms and Vision 2047"
Touching upon the Indian Constitution, Nandakumar addressed two prevailing viewpoints: one advocating for its rewriting and the other emphasizing its preservation. He maintained that the Bharatiya Vichara Kendra has no partisan stance on the matter but underscored the Constitution's role in strengthening democracy and empowering citizens to face future challenges.
"As we approach a new era of responsibility, this is a pivotal moment to prepare for 2047 with clarity and determination," he remarked.
