A heartbreaking accident occurred in Kerala’s Kannur district on Wednesday evening, claiming the life of a Class 5 student and leaving 14 others injured. The incident took place around 4 PM near the Valakkai Bridge when a school bus from Chinmaya Vidyalaya overturned on a slope.
Fatal Crash Caught on Camera
The victim has been identified as 11-year-old Nedhya S. Rajesh, who was tragically thrown from the bus during the accident and crushed under its wheels. Preliminary reports suggest a brake failure caused the crash, although the police have launched an investigation to confirm the exact cause.

The bus, which was transporting 15 students home, lost control and flipped over, injuring 14 children. Local residents quickly responded, rushing the injured students to Taliparamba Taluk Hospital for treatment. The body of Nedhya S. Rajesh was transported to the Government Medical College in Pariyaram.
