Dehradun, Uttarakhand After an intense series of matches at the 38th National Games, the finalists for all individual archery events have been determined.
In the women’s recurve individual event, star archer Deepika Kumari secured her place in the final after a hard-fought victory over Gatha Anandrao Khadake in a tie-breaker. She will face Anshika Kumari, who pulled off a stunning upset against Komalika Bari to book her spot in the gold medal match.
The men’s compound individual event will see Hritik Sharma and Rajat Chauhan go head-to-head for the top honors after they overcame Thirumuru Ganesh Mani Ratnam and Kushal Dalal in their respective semifinals. The losing semifinalists will compete for the bronze medal.
In the women’s compound individual event, Parneet Kaur and Deepshikha will contest the final, while Avneet Kaur and Kumud Saini will compete for bronze.
The men’s Indian round individual event saw Manish and Subham advance to the gold medal match after defeating Adarsh Panwar and Chingakham Nelson Singh, respectively. Meanwhile, in the women’s Indian round individual event, Chandni Sahu and Laiphrakpam Rojina Devi will battle for the gold, while Manisha Kumari and Tutumoni Boro, who suffered semifinal losses, will compete for the bronze medal.
