Delhi BJP Confident of Victory as Assembly Polls Approach

New Delhi,  – With just two days remaining before the Delhi Assembly elections, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva on Monday expressed confidence in the party's prospects, asserting that the prevailing enthusiasm among the electorate indicates a BJP victory. He stated that Delhi would witness a transformative phase of development starting February 8.

As Monday marked the final day of election campaigning, Sachdeva emphasized the active participation of senior BJP leaders, including Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and BJP National President J.P. Nadda, in rallying support for the party.

"The people of Delhi have made up their minds. Today marks the last day of campaigning, and our senior leaders—including the National President, the Union Home Minister, and the Union Defence Minister—are engaging directly with the people of Delhi. The enthusiasm displayed by the electorate reinforces our confidence that we will form the government. On February 8, Delhi will embark on a new era of development. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have spearheaded various development initiatives across the nation, and now it is Delhi’s turn to experience the same progress," Sachdeva told ANI.

Addressing a public rally at New Delhi’s RK Puram on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi echoed similar sentiments, comparing the anticipated political shift to the seasonal change ushered in by Basant Panchami.

"In a few days, a new wave of development will sweep through Delhi. The BJP government is set to take charge. The Aam Aadmi Party has squandered 11 years, and I urge the people of Delhi to grant us the opportunity to serve them. I pledge to go to any extent to alleviate their challenges. A double-engine government will usher in prosperity for every poor and middle-class family in Delhi," the Prime Minister stated.

Earlier today, Union Minister and BJP leader Piyush Goyal launched a critique against the AAP, stating that the people of Delhi were ready to break free from unfulfilled promises. He highlighted that the BJP, under a double-engine governance model, is committed to development and public welfare.

Goyal further underscored the recent Union Budget’s provisions benefiting the middle class, crediting Prime Minister Modi for significantly easing their financial burden.

"Delhi’s residents will be liberated from deceptive guarantees and will receive a stable, development-oriented government under the trustworthy leadership of PM Modi. The entire city is eager to elect a BJP-led administration that prioritizes public welfare. The BJP’s victory now appears inevitable. The Prime Minister has provided substantial relief to the middle class through the budget, easing their tax burdens considerably," he remarked.

As the final hours of the campaign conclude, all eyes turn to February 5, when Delhi heads to the polls. The election results will be announced on February 8, determining the political future of the national capital.
