Polling commenced at 8:00 AM and will continue until 6:00 PM. The elections encompass the selection of mayors and ward members across seven Municipal Corporations, along with presidents and ward members in four Municipal Councils and 21 Municipal Committees.
The Haryana State Election Commission has announced general elections for key urban local bodies, including the Municipal Corporations of Faridabad, Gurugram, Hisar, Karnal, Rohtak, and Yamuna Nagar. The polling for Panipat Municipal Corporation is scheduled for later this month.
Additionally, electoral contests are taking place in 21 Municipal Committees, including Barara (Ambala), Bawani Khera, Siwani, and Loharu (Bhiwani), Jakhal Mandi (Fatehabad), and Farrukh Nagar (Gurugram).
In case of any necessary re-polling, it has been scheduled for March 4, except for the Panipat Municipal Corporation, where re-polling, if required, will be conducted on March 11. The final results of the elections will be announced on March 12, as per the State Election Commission of Haryana.
