Dublin, Tuesday – Five individuals were hospitalised following a serious road traffic collision involving a double-decker bus and an ambulance on Dublin’s Dorset Street on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:30am, prompting a swift response from Gardaí and emergency services, who remain at the scene.
In a statement, a Garda spokesperson confirmed:
“Gardaí and emergency services are currently attending a traffic collision involving a bus and an ambulance that occurred on Dorset Street, Dublin 1 at approximately 9:30am today, Tuesday.”
Five people were transported to Mater Misericordiae University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the collision.
As of this afternoon, Dorset Street remains closed to traffic, with local diversions in place. Commuters are advised to avoid the area and follow Garda traffic updates.
