Child Abuse Incident at Noida Daycare Leads to Arrest

In a disturbing case of child mistreatment, authorities in Noida have arrested a female daycare worker accused of physically assaulting a 15-month-old toddler under her care. The incident, which was recorded by the facility's CCTV cameras, has prompted widespread concern over child safety in such environments.

Footage from the surveillance system shows the woman carrying the child before repeatedly dropping the toddler to the ground—approximately two to three times. The video further captures her striking the child on the back and, in a particularly alarming moment, biting the infant on the leg. Subsequent photographs of the toddler revealed visible bite marks and additional injuries consistent with the abuse.

Following a review of the CCTV evidence, a formal complaint was lodged, leading to the woman's prompt arrest. Investigations are ongoing, with officials emphasizing the importance of stringent oversight in childcare settings to prevent such occurrences.

Father Arrested in Madhya Pradesh for Raping Daughter and Abandoning Newborn

In a separate and harrowing incident, police in Madhya Pradesh's Khargone district have apprehended a man accused of raping his 16-year-old daughter, resulting in her pregnancy, and subsequently abandoning their newborn child in a bushy area. The case surfaced last week when villagers discovered a day-old infant, covered in ant bites, in a remote spot within the jurisdiction of Maheshwar police station.

The infant was immediately provided with first aid at a nearby hospital and later transferred to the district hospital for further treatment. Initially, authorities registered a case against an unidentified individual under Section 93 of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, which pertains to the abandonment of a child under 12 years of age.

A subsequent investigation uncovered that the baby's mother was the 16-year-old girl, who had been admitted to a local clinic. In her statement to the police, the teenager alleged that her father had sexually assaulted her while they were employed as laborers in Rajkot, Gujarat. She further claimed that the accused performed the delivery at home and, when she lost consciousness, discarded the newborn in the bushes before escaping the scene.

Superintendent of Police Dharamraj Meena confirmed that the probe led to the father's arrest, and charges have been filed accordingly. This case highlights critical issues surrounding familial abuse and the need for enhanced protective measures for vulnerable minors.
