Ahmedabad, September 12 – In a shocking incident, a man was brutally murdered on a public road by a group of four to five assailants, barely 200 meters from the Paldi police station.
The gruesome act, captured on CCTV cameras, shows the attackers repeatedly assaulting the victim with weapons. Disturbingly, the violence did not end with the assault—the attackers allegedly ran a car over the victim’s body.
Police have launched an investigation and are analyzing CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
Gurugram: 19-Year-Old Arrested for Murdering Co-Worker After Brawl
In a separate incident, Gurugram police arrested a 19-year-old youth for allegedly murdering his co-worker following a heated altercation at a construction site in Gandhi Nagar colony.
The incident took place on the night of August 14. The deceased, Pappu Kumar (35), a native of Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, lived and worked at the under-construction building along with two others, Umesh and Rajesh.
According to the complaint filed by Pappu’s younger brother, an argument erupted between Pappu and Umesh over spilt food. Rajesh intervened to defuse the situation, after which Pappu went to the third floor of the building. Umesh allegedly followed him, pushed him off the floor, and caused his death.
Following the complaint, an FIR was registered at Shivaji Nagar police station, and Umesh Kumar (19) was arrested.
“During interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and admitted that he had been hiding in different locations across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar before being apprehended,” a Gurugram police spokesperson said.
