Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Saturday issued a stern warning to government employees against neglecting their parents, announcing that failure to take care of them could result in a 10 percent deduction from their salaries.
The chief minister said a special law will be introduced to enforce the measure, with the deducted amount to be directly deposited into the bank accounts of the employees’ parents.
Speaking at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Madhapur, where he handed over appointment letters to successful Group-1 candidates, Revanth Reddy stressed the importance of honoring and supporting parents. “It is not right to neglect parents who have sacrificed everything for the future of their children,” he said.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Jupally Krishna Rao, Vakati Srihari, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, and Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao were among those present at the event.
