Tributes are being paid to Lorcan Kelly, a young man from Cloonmoyle, Tuam, who tragically lost his life in a road collision in Co. Galway on Friday.
The incident occurred shortly after 8 a.m. on the N17 at Milltown, involving a car and a van. Lorcan, who was driving the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the van, a man in his 50s, was airlifted to University Hospital Galway with serious injuries.
Lorcan, aged in his 20s, is remembered with deep love and affection by his parents, brothers, grandfather, his devoted girlfriend, extended family, and a wide circle of friends.
Funeral Arrangements
Lorcan will repose at Glynn’s Funeral Home, High Street, Tuam, on Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. His Funeral Mass will take place at The Cathedral of the Assumption, Tuam, on Tuesday at 12 noon, followed by burial at Kilclooney Cemetery, Milltown.
His family has expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support, noting that people’s “thoughts and condolences at this time” have brought comfort amid their grief.

Garda Appeal
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to the collision.
A Garda spokesperson said:
“Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the N17 at Milltown, Co. Galway today, Friday, 19 September. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 7:45 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. on Friday, 19 September are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.”
