Location: Roscommon service area.
This permanent part-time position involves 36 hours per fortnight, working as part of a multidisciplinary team committed to enhancing quality of life and promoting independence for service users. You will report to the Service Coordinator and Area Manager while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.
Essential Requirements
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) as a Registered Nurse Intellectual Disability (RNID)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated commitment to person-centered care principles and human rights-based approaches
- Knowledge of current legislation, regulations, and standards relating to intellectual disability services including HIQA standards
- Flexibility to work across service locations in the Athlone/Roscommon area as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in intellectual disability services or similar community-based settings
- Post-registration training or education in intellectual disability nursing or related specialty areas
- Experience working with challenging behaviors and positive behavior support approaches
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and commitment to protecting vulnerable adults
- Full clean driving license and access to own transport for community-based work
