Chennai, October 19, 2025 — The Tamil Nadu Victory Party has been in complete disarray for nearly three weeks following a series of internal disputes that have paralyzed its functioning. A single controversy has plunged the two-year-old party into a deep crisis, with growing calls from within to remove General Secretary Pusi Anand from his position.
Sources within the party describe a major revolt brewing against Anand, as several senior members accuse him of mishandling recent developments and failing to show leadership during critical moments. The situation has reportedly led to severe internal conflict and organizational paralysis.
Leadership Missing, Party Machinery Collapsed
For the past 20 days, the party has not taken a single key decision, and almost all operations have come to a standstill. According to insiders, Pusi Anand has “gone underground” following the Karur incident, which many see as the turning point in the party’s current downfall. Senior executives have criticized Anand for not visiting the victims or issuing any official statement of condolence, calling it an act of “complete irresponsibility.”
Even the media and communications teams have ceased operations. Press officers are inactive, and top leaders remain silent. Multiple sources confirm that “no meaningful political activity” is currently taking place within the organization.
Factional Feud Escalates Online
Tensions have also escalated between two prominent leaders — Adhav Arjunan and Pusi Anand — with both factions engaging in open criticism on social media. Arjunan’s supporters have posted a series of remarks attacking Anand’s leadership, accusing him of failing in his duties as both General Secretary and Party Administrator.
In retaliation, Anand’s loyalists have accused Arjunan of aligning with the BJP, suggesting that he has “sought political shelter” from the ruling national party.
Criticism Against Senior Advisor
Meanwhile, a third front of dissent has emerged against John Arogyaswamy, who is accused by party members of “misguiding Thalapathy Vijay” and giving “flawed advice” that has led to poor strategic decisions.
As the Tamil Nadu Victory Party struggles to contain its widening internal rift, political analysts say the organization is at a crossroads — either it rebuilds its leadership and structure swiftly, or risks collapsing entirely under factional pressures.
