Dubai: Airlines in the UAE have started partial services, the UAE Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed.
Air traffic in GCC countries such as Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE was severely disrupted in the wake of the Iranian attack. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Sharjah, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Al Maktoum airports were at a standstill.
Iran continues its airstrikes on Gulf countries after Ayatollah Khamenei was killed in an Israeli-US strike. Meanwhile, Mansooreh Khojasteh, the wife of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, who was undergoing treatment for injuries, has died.
Etihad Airways has resumed operations from Abu Dhabi with 15 passenger flights. Amidst the ongoing unrest in the Middle East, 16 passenger flights successfully took off from Abu Dhabi on Monday. According to FlightRadar24, these Etihad Airways flights were bound for destinations including Delhi, Islamabad, Mumbai, Karachi, Moscow, Paris, Amsterdam, Muscat, Kochi, Bengaluru, Cairo, Dhaka, Dammam, Jeddah, Riyadh and London.
