A two-wheeler parked near the BSF Frontier headquarters in Jalandhar exploded. The vehicle was completely destroyed in the blast. The second blast took place in the Khasa Cantonment area of Amritsar shortly after the Jalandhar incident. There were no reports of any injuries in the incidents.
There are indications that the banned organization Khalistan Liberation Army has taken responsibility for the Jalandhar blast. The organization reportedly announced this through social media. On April 27, there was also an attempt to blow up the railway track in Patiala. The police are investigating whether such incidents are part of a conspiracy. Since it is a military-important area, the authorities are taking this incident very seriously. Senior police officials and forensic experts visited both the places and conducted inspections. The investigation is in full swing. A widespread search has been launched to find those behind the blast.
