Washington: Reports suggest that US President Donald Trump has begun trying to take military action against Iran.
Trump, who has rejected peace proposals put forward by Iran, is reportedly preparing to relaunch 'Operation Epic Fury'.
Trump's decision came after he returned from a visit to China. The New York Times reports that Trump's decision is to overcome the diplomatic stalemate through military force, and as part of that, Trump has instructed top military officials to implement Operation Epic Fury 2.0.
There were also reports that the United States and China had reached an agreement to deter Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and blocking the Strait of Hormuz.
