Attack on the cargo ship in Hormuz, the US military reportedly carried out airstrikes

Washington: Following the attack on the cargo ship, the US military reportedly carried out airstrikes on missile and drone storage facilities and coastal radar systems in Iran.

According to reports from international news agencies, the situation in the Middle East is once again becoming a cause for concern.

In a statement issued by the US Central Command, it was announced that the action was taken in response to an attack on commercial shipping. The US also accused the attack of being a clear violation of the existing ceasefire agreement. American sources said that Iran used a drone to attack a Singapore-flagged cargo ship traveling through Hormuz. The ship was damaged in the incident, but no casualties were reported

Meanwhile, Iran has denied the allegations. Iran responded by saying that it had not violated the ceasefire agreement and that it had taken steps to control the current situation. The attack on the ship was southeast of Dahi, on the coast of Oman, and that the ship was damaged, the UK Maritime Trade Operations said.

Iran has warned that if it does not go through the route provided by Iran, it will not get insurance or security guarantees. Iran subsequently closed the safe maritime corridor. Following the incident, the security situation in the Strait of Hormuz has once again become a cause for international concern. There are concerns that the conflict in this region, one of the world's main oil shipping routes, will affect global trade and oil prices.
