LONDON — The Russian Embassy in London has issued a sharp and uncompromising warning to the United Kingdom, accusing British authorities of acting as a direct "co-perpetrator" in the conflict following reports that UK-manufactured drones have struck targets deep inside Russian territory.
The diplomatic escalation follows recent investigative reports indicating that unmanned aerial vehicles produced by British companies have been deployed by Kyiv to target critical military and industrial infrastructure within mainland Russia.
"Deliberate Escalation"
In an official statement released by the embassy, Moscow claimed that London is deliberately choosing a path of escalation while falsely presenting itself as a proponent of peace.
"The deeper its involvement in the conflict and the greater its support for Kyiv's terrorist machinery, the higher the price it will pay," the embassy warned, stating that Britain has transformed from a mere supplier into an active accomplice.
Expanding Scope of Long-Range Strikes
The controversy centers around recent operations utilizing British technology against targets far beyond the Ukrainian border, including regional logistics hubs and industrial sites. While the UK Ministry of Defence has maintained a steadfast position of backing Ukraine's defense against the ongoing invasion—committing billions in military aid since 2022—the use of Western-supplied systems for deep-interior strikes continues to heighten geopolitical friction between Moscow and Western capitals.
