SPARKS, Nev. — Tesla has officially begun a new wave of customer deliveries for its long-awaited Semi electric trucks, with major logistics partners and corporate fleets receiving their initial heavy-duty haulers.
Executives announced the milestone during a special corporate event at the company's manufacturing facility in Sparks, Nevada. The heavy-duty electric trucks—engineered for long-haul freight operations with a range of up to 500 miles on a single charge—are rolling out to prominent early corporate customers including PepsiCo, DHL, and US Foods.
The formal delivery rollout marks a significant operational step for Tesla as it expands its footprint from passenger electric vehicles into the commercial freight sector, capitalising on a time when high diesel prices have heightened industry demand for efficient fleet alternatives.
While company leadership did not disclose immediate production volume numbers or pricing details during the webcast event, Tesla reiterated its long-term target of scaling output at the Nevada facility toward an annual capacity of 50,000 units.
