RIYADH: Three Malayalis were denied entry into Saudi Arabia and sent back after arriving at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. The three were reportedly found to be carrying fake work visas.
The three, who are from Thiruvananthapuram, were stopped at the airport after their visa documents came under scrutiny. They were kept at the airport while the required procedures were completed and were later sent back to Kerala on a flight to Kozhikode.
According to reports, the visa documents had been prepared using the print of another visa, with details such as the visa number, date, name, passport number, reference number and occupation allegedly altered. The three were reportedly sent to Saudi Arabia after agents convinced them that the visas were genuine.
A Saudi-based agent is also reported to have charged around Rs 1.5 lakh for the visas. Further details about any action in connection with the incident have not been made public.
