If your census form is not returned, it may be returned by post. The enumerators are now completing their collection, however the Central Statistics Office (CSO) has directed them to post if it has not been collected again. The CSO said statistics from the Census are crucial for planning public services such as roads, schools, hospitals and housing. Return of census forms by post is free.
Census forms can be returned free of charge:

In a statement on Monday, the CSO Ireland said: "These statistics are important for planning public services such as roads, schools, hospitals, and housing. The CSO is currently looking into plans to provide an online response option funded by the European Union National Recovery and Reliance.
By law, all those who were in the country during the census night must be recorded on a form, so it is important to return the completed forms now. If you know someone who needs more support for their form, please contact CSO for more information. In case a Census Form is lost or damaged, people are advised to contact the CSO online for a replacement form or by calling ☎ 0818 2022 04.
