Ireland Weather: Met Eireann predicts a dry week with temperatures up to 19C

Met Éireann has forecast a largely dry week with highs of 19C after the country experienced some very wet days over the last two weeks.

Today will begin cloudy over the northern half of the country but it will become sunny in all areas with highest temperatures of 15C to 19C.

"Another dry day tomorrow,” a Met Éireann forecaster said.

"Cloudy to start, becoming sunnier for many in the afternoon.

There is a potential of a little shower near the shore, while northern areas will remain very gloomy.

"Light to moderate northwest breezes with 15 to 19 degree maximum temperatures."

The north may get a few light showers on Thursday, while the rest of the country will mostly experience dry weather with highs between 14 and 18 degrees Celsius.

With a mix of clouds and sunny periods, Friday will be mostly dry once more, though there is a chance of a few isolated showers.

The highest temperatures will range from 13 to 17 degrees, and though it will stay dry over night, lows will drop to 4 to 8 degrees.

The national forecaster predicted that most of the country would see dry weather this weekend, with a few showers perhaps developing in northern coastal regions.

"Light winds and quite cloudy with some sunny breaks. Highs in the mid teens.”
