KERALA: The horror of the Vadakancheri disaster, bodies in tears to their hometowns; The Prime Minister has sanctioned Rs 2 lakh to the families of the dead: Rs 50,000 to the injured as compensation; Driver arrested after Escape

Even before reaching the halfway point of the journey, the horror of the disaster that came in search did not change. Relatives and locals were crying because they could not bear to see the sad sight of those who went on a pleasure trip. Yesterday at seven o'clock in the evening, the procession started from Mar Baselius Vidyaniketan School, where Mulanthurutthi, Vettikal, kerala state was solemnly cut, and finally turned into sad.. While students and teachers were celebrating, a tourist bus rammed behind the KSRTC bus at high speed at Vadakancheri Anchu Murthy Mangalam around 11.30 am.

The central government has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh to the families of those who died in the accident. Fifty thousand rupees will be given as compensation to those injured in the accident. He said on Twitter that it will be recorded and may the injured get well soon.

President Draupadi Murmu also expressed grief over the incident. "We have lost precious lives of school children and others. Condolences to the family of the deceased. May the injured recover quickly'' - the President wrote on Twitter.

The rescue workers took the children out of the bus that fell into the swamp near the road with great difficulty. There were 42 students, 5 teachers and 2 bus staff in the tourist bus. Around 50 injured people were admitted to Thrissur Medical College, Alathur Taluk Hospital, Nenmara Avitis Hospital and Palakkad District Hospital.

Vadakancheri Anchumoorthy,kerala killed in road accident identified. The teacher and 5 students, including two boys and three girls, died in the tourist bus in which the school students were traveling. Three persons in the KSRTC bus died in the accident. 

The driver Jomon alias Jojo Patros was arrested in the Vadakancheri car accident. He was arrested from Kollam Chavara. Chavara police are interrogating him. It was the phone-centric investigation that trapped Jomon. KSRTC had informed the High Court that the accident was caused by the excessive speed of the tourist bus. He says that he has been working as a driver for a long time and there is no mistake on his part. He was on his way to Thiruvananthapuram when he got stuck in Kollam. It is known that he will be brought to Palakkad soon.

The parents say that the tourist bus left for the excursion with the students immediately after the Velankanni trip. Jomon, the driver who drove the bus on the Velankanni Yatra, also drove the bus with the school students. Parents say he was tired. The second driver of the bus, Eldo, was seriously injured.

Jomon Patros, who was driving the bus at the time of the accident, was arrested from Kollam. After the accident, he sought treatment at a hospital in Thrissur and escaped from there. Jomon, who was going to Thiruvananthapuram by car to meet a lawyer, was taken into custody by Chavara police at Shankaramangalam. 2 people who were with the car were taken into custody. They are natives of Ernakulam and Kottayam.

Just before the accident, a message was received on the bus owner's mobile phone twice (at 10.18 pm and 10.56 pm) stating that the bus was speeding. The bus was traveling at a speed of 97 kmph when the accident occurred. The company has set a maximum speed of 80 kmph in the speed governor system of this vehicle. But the Transport Commissioner also told the media that it was found that it has been modified in such a way that it can go faster up to 100 km.

After visiting the scene, Minister MP Rajesh said that it was a terrible accident in Vadakancherry and the injured survived. Minister K Krishnankutty, Palakkad District Collector Mrinmai Joshi and Thrissur Range DIG Putta Vimaladitya visited the scene and assessed the situation. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan condoled the accident. After the post-mortem procedures were completed, the dead bodies were taken to their native places.

The dead bodies of the school teacher and students who died in the Vadakanchery accident were brought to Mulanthuruthi. The school children and teacher who died in the accident where the tourist bus collided with the KSRTC bus in Vadakanchery yesterday:
