IRELAND WEATHER: Met Eireann Map shows snow could be heading for Ireland with colder conditions expected

     Snow could be heading our way but Met Eireann are not yet predicting it for Ireland

The mild weather is set to break in the coming days with bitterly cold conditions to sweep across the country., with some long-range weather maps showing a chance of snow for some parts of Ireland.

According to Met Eireann, the changeover from the mild weather is set to start in the next few days, with frost likely at times and daytime temperatures ranging from 6C and 11C that will make the country feel as cold as Iceland. The shift in colder weather will see temperatures dropping below freezing some nights.

Some long-range weather maps are indicating that snow could be possible for some parts of Ireland. However, it is unclear when this snow could potentially hit.

According to Met Eireann's most recent forecast for this week, there is currently no indication that snow will start to fall. According to the most recent forecast, there won't be any snow and temperatures will start to fall as low as 3C.


Met Eireann has issued the following outlook for the upcoming several days:

Today

"Wednesday will mostly be dry with some sunny intervals. In parts of the west coast as well as the east of Ulster, there will be some showers. Rain will start to form in coastal regions of Munster in the late afternoon and evening. Maximum temperatures range from 7 to 11 degrees, and the breezes are typically mild and varied."


Thursday

"The morning of Thursday will be mostly dry with some sunny intervals and a few showers. East and north Ulster will have rain throughout the afternoon and evening, while Connacht and west Munster will experience showers. with 7 to 10 degree maximums and light to moderate west to northwest breezes."


Friday

"Rain will continue in Ulster's northeastern region. Sunny spells will make the rest of the country more cheerful. Showers will occasionally occur, primarily in the west. East will be the driest region. The peak temperature will only reach 7 to 9 degrees, and there will be light to moderate southwest breezes. In general, it will be quiet and clear on Friday night, but it will be chilly with a chance of frost in several places. In the northeast, there can still be some residual rain. Lowest temperatures range from -1 to +3."


Saturday

"Most of Saturday will begin dry. But the weather will turn windy and wet, with persistent rain moving eastward over the nation and light to strong southerly winds. maximum temperature ranges between 7 and 11. Rain will stop on Saturday night, followed by clear spells and sporadic showers. Temperatures will drop to between 3 and 6 degrees as winds lessen."


Sunday

"It will be a beautiful day on Sunday with sporadic showers. Maximum temperatures between 7 to 10 degrees with light winds out of the west. On Sunday night, it appears to turn windy and rainy."
