Coventry: A Keralite Man who was traveling from Kochi in Kerala to the UK died on an Air India flight. Dileep Francis George (65) died while returning home. The incident took place on A1-149 flight which left Kochi yesterday morning. It was a heart breaking news for his wife Sofia who came to the airport to receive her husband.
Dileep Francis George, who felt unwell on the UK flight traveling to UK from Nedumbassery airport, Kochin, Kerala in the morning, was given emergency aid on board but lost his life.
The airline authorities approached the agency that booked the ticket to provide his details, but they only had his details available. The message received from the plane was shared by a Malayalee official of Air India through social media. When he reached home after searching for information from the Malayali community, his wife and children went to the airport to receive Dileep after closing the house.
By the time the plane landed at 11:30, the pilot informed the Air India authorities that he needed police assistance. Unaware of this, the body of Dileep arrived in front of his loved ones who were waiting at the airport. The body is kept at London's Heathrow Airport. The body will be released to the relatives only after the post-mortem is completed. Necessary steps for this are in progress.
Dileep Francis George is a resident of Nottingham, UK. Has three children. Dilip Francis George, a native of Muvattupuzha, Kerala married Sophia, a native of Pakistan, after the death of his first wife.
