Air India has signed an agreement with France's Airbus and American company Boeing for the purchase of aircraft. This is the first time that an airline has bought so many aircraft together.
470 aircraft will be purchased including 250 passenger aircraft from Airbus and 220 Boeing aircraft from Boeing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said while participating in the ceremony with French President Emmanuel Macron that a historic agreement has been signed.

The civil aviation sector is an integral part of the development of the country. Strengthening it is one of the important aspects of the National Infrastructure Policy,' said the Prime Minister.
Modi responded that the new agreement will deepen the relationship between India and France. "This agreement reflects the success and ambitions of India's civil aviation sector.
