Delhi: Rahul Gandhi has asked the party leaders in the state to emulate the success of the Congress in Karnataka as well in Kerala. Rahul Gandhi advised the party leaders that collective action and agenda oriented movement will help in achieving victory.
In Karnataka, the big victory was achieved because the leaders stood united. At the same time, Rahul Gandhi said that the leaders should be wary of trying to create communal polarization by explaining the situation in Manipur. Rahul Gandhi made this request to the state leaders during a discussion held by the Congress High Command at the AICC headquarters in Delhi. The central leadership called the state leaders to Delhi as part of preparing the party for the Lok Sabha elections.
Pudupally assembly election preparations were also discussed in the meeting. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharga also spoke to the leaders. It is reported that in the high command meeting, the position of the central leadership on what kind of Lok Sabha election campaign strategy should be.
Meanwhile, AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal responded in Delhi that the Congress will win all 20 seats in the Lok Sabha elections in Kerala. The public sentiment in the state is against both the governments. Leaders will forget their differences and work together.
In the meeting, KC Venugopal also gave a strict instruction that what needs to be said within the party should be said within the party itself. From Kerala leaders AK Antony and Ramesh Chennithala participated in the meeting online.
