A separate Status Yellow rain warning for 12 counties and a Status Orange rain warning for Cork come into effect tomorrow.
The warning for Cork comes into effect at 6:00pm tomorrow and ends at 6:00pm on Friday. The alert comes into force tomorrow at 6.00pm for all counties in Munster (Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford) and Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Leish, Offaly and Wicklow and ends at 6.00pm on Friday.
Weather forecaster Met Éireann has forecast that tomorrow will be mostly dry, with some sunny spells, although rain will arrive on the south coast in the afternoon and spread northwards. Met Eireann said persistent and heavy rain could cause localized flooding, reduced visibility and very difficult travel conditions.
