"Study, Work, Live and Curiosity" A look back at Indian International student life in Ireland

Dublin: Education Ireland has confirmed that 7,000 Indian students will study in Ireland in 2023. Therefore, every year the Education Board of Ireland visits India to invite students through Education Ireland.

Now Education Ireland is conducting a 'roadshow' in major cities in India for admissions to the 2024 academic year. The road show started on September 30 and will continue till October 8. The road show will be held in five cities mainly Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Bengaluru. Education Ireland provides more information about studying in Ireland, various universities and colleges, scholarships and post-study visas through roadshows.

2 intakes in Ireland for overseas students

In some universities in Ireland, an intake is also known as a semester. Universities in Ireland have two primary entrances. Autumn Intake starts in early September and ends in December and Spring Intake starts in late January and lasts till May.

For students coming to study in Ireland, it is now difficult to find work and accommodation. The number of Indian students in Ireland is increasing every year. A lack of accommodation and high rents drive up student costs in Ireland. Room sharing is the only way to keep costs down. But now it's over 800 euros per person, at least sharing a room or sharing a house.

But sharing a room with Irish families is cheaper than staying with Indians, who cheat and increase charge more for food or cooking with traditional demands. And also there will be staring and type-by-type rules with unwanted conditions. It also creates difficulties in student life. Life in Ireland is "More Curious" with an Indian tyrant who tells girls to wash their private wastes,  clean it in the trash.

Rental systems offered by universities and colleges excel. However, most people do not get the chance to book in advance due to lack of knowledge and often a late visa or agent delay spoils this opportunity.

And most agents are chains of fraud and brought poor students here for rent, to prying eyes, and most are resold for a commission of Euros. Even Indian communities have been created under various names for this purpose, and these exploiters have gone mad. It is a daily occurrence that our Indian children who come here have to sleep without a bed on the floor of the living room of their aunties and uncles, when Indian exploiters, who are hiding in the communities without registering, are competing to acquire these opportunities under the commission.

Most of the houses near colleges in Ireland are now one-room houses, and the race for one house to the next has fuelled competition in the area. In most counties, because of this race,  began to raise accusations that local nationalities, Indian people were driving up house prices.

A recent surge in isolated attacks in Ireland's cities is holding children and newcomer communities back. Most of the attacks are carried out by children. The current legal system does not allow the Irish Police (Garda) to take legal action against these child offenders.

When staying as a family, using vehicles or shopping malls during rush hours can help avoid intruders to some extent. But when it comes to studying, you have to use public transport to go to work after school and arrive on time.

Foreign students and tourists arriving late at night using public transport are attacked by gangs of violent children, criminals, drug users, usurers and other night travellers.

If Indian students graduate in Ireland, they can get a two-year stay-back visa. International students, while they study, can work 20 hours a week during the academic year and 40 hours a week during holidays. And these two years they can find job opportunities in Ireland, those who don't have to go back.

Most of the children are studying at low cost in the fields of computing, cyber security and administration. For this, foreigners are not hired much and are outsourced to other countries. Although there are various types of computer, mechanical, engineering courses, those who study in electrical and pharmacy fields in the country India mostly do not get jobs.

This means that if you want to get a job easily in Ireland, you should look for medical jobs, preferably nurse, nursing assistant, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, or radiographer.

Most engineering graduates now take a course like a care course (nursing assistant or health care assistant) to get a job. Because if you don't get a job here, you will have to go back. That is the "curiosity" of the Indian locals.
To be clear, the desire to know. Curiosity in English (from Latin cūriōsitās, from cūriōsus "careful, diligent, curious", akin to cura "care"). It is a birth smell. It is this motivation that leads man to progress and reach the top. Strange and novel objects and situations arouse curiosity. The emotion associated with this smell is "wonder". It is after this that we become inquisitive

But this sense of smell, which is very prominent in children, helps them understand their surroundings. Looking at an object backwards and forwards, breaking objects, climbing trees, swimming in water are all to satisfy the thirst for knowledge. Educational methods should be able to awaken and nurture this sense by adopting the right teaching methods. Only then will the world of the future be filled with pride and gain.
It is certain that students who arrive at the curiosity of others or their own, or those who are looking to arrive, will have to strive for the next few days to "get study, work and accommodation".
