The public consultation survey started as part of the National Migrant Integration Strategy for all migrants will end today.
We are seeking your views on the challenges, needs and opportunities in supporting and promoting migrant integration in Ireland. The project aims to increase representation and equality for immigrants in all areas of Irish society.
Since 2017, the Migrant Integration Strategy has served as the central policy framework adopted by the Government to promote the integration of all migrants and their Irish-born children across ten areas of public policy. The National Migrant Integration Strategy aims to increase diversity, inclusion and equality for migrants in all areas of Irish society.
The strategy emphasized social inclusion initiatives, access to public services, supporting integration and social cohesion at local level, as well as efforts to combat racism and xenophobia. The Migrant Integration Strategy was finalized in 2021.
A new National Strategy for Immigrant Integration will build on the momentum of its predecessor and address current and emerging needs in supporting and promoting immigrant integration. Ipsos has been contracted to carry out the consultation on behalf of the Department for Children, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Youth.
The consultation will gather insights and experiences on the challenges, needs and opportunities to support migrant integration to inform the development of the new strategy.
