IRP CARD Renewal Online from 04 November 2024; € 300 registration fee exemption as follows

The final change in responsibility for renewing Irish immigration residence permits in Ireland will come into effect on 04 November 2024. This is due to the transfer of registration of the Legal Department from the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) to the Office of Immigration Service Delivery (ISD).

IRP CARD renewal for persons residing in counties of Ireland will be through online mode. From November 04, 2024, online renewals of permits from all applicants nationwide must be submitted using the ISD online renewal portal. Applicants do not need to attend in person at the Burgh Quay Registration Office unless they deem it necessary to renew an immigration permit.

Online renewal applications can now be submitted from all counties nationwide. You must upload all required documents with your application before submitting, or your application cannot be processed.

Please note that all applications for renewal of residence permit nationwide, including when changing the stamp category, are accepted by the Registration Office 12 weeks before the expiry of the current IRP card to allow sufficient time for processing.
