History created at the first time, Mr. Bejoy Sebastian is elected as the President of Royal College of Nursing (RCN), the the first Keralite president of UK's largest nursing trade union. It is a proud moment for Indian nurses in the UK when Bejoy comes to this position.
Bejoy is a senior nurse working in critical care at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Hailing from Kerala, he completed his nursing studies at Kottayam Medical College Kerala State and came to the UK in March 2011.
As Chair of the International Nursing and Midwifery Association Forum Network UK, he has raised the profile of internationally educated nursing staff, helping them to thrive in their careers and identify barriers they face in the workplace.
