A pivotal meeting between Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and prominent producers, directors, and actors of the Telugu film industry (Tollywood) took place on Thursday at the state-of-the-art Police Command Control Centre in Hyderabad.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka assured the film fraternity of the government’s unwavering support to propel Tollywood to new heights and transform Hyderabad into a global film hub.
Outlining his vision for Telangana’s development and the advancement of the film industry, Chief Minister Reddy emphasized the need for collaboration between the state government and Tollywood. He expressed his ambition to elevate the Telugu film industry to international prominence by positioning Hyderabad as a preferred destination for filmmakers worldwide, including those from Hollywood.
Chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation, Dil Raju, who played a key role in facilitating the discussion, shared insights from the meeting. He noted the industry’s enthusiastic reception to the chief minister's vision and commitment.
“The entire film fraternity is thrilled with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s proactive stance and support. While issues such as benefit shows and cinema ticket pricing can be addressed in due course, the overarching focus remains on achieving the chief minister’s vision of transforming Hyderabad into an international film hub,” Dil Raju stated.
This collaborative initiative signals a new chapter for Tollywood, reinforcing Hyderabad’s status as a burgeoning center for global cinema and innovation.
